'70 Vista Windshield Interchange-ability

Simple question that I'm unsure of the answer to...is the windshield on a '70-'72 Vista identical to '70-'72 Cutlass?

Windshield Interchange

I tried to put a 1970 Vista Cruiser windshield in a 1971 2 door Cutlass years ago and found that they are slightly different. I think, but am not positive, that the wagons and 4 door cars share the same front windshield. One good thing about the 2 door cars is that the A-bodies shared much of the same glass. So instead of using the Vista glass I wound up purchasing the front windshield from a 1968 chevelle and put it in my 1971 Cutlass Supreme. At that time I was told that 1968-72 A-body windshields would interchange.

Thanks, it's a start. I'm starting a '70 VC resto and need to replace the windshield. It's also tinted with the antenna in it. I know I can get it for a cutlass as I put the same one in my '72, I'm just hoping I can get one for a vista...

Windshields

Ask your source to cross reference the Vista Cruiser with A-body 4 door cars from 1968-72 and see what they come up with. John

The Vista windshield is taller than the 2 door Cutlass, you can tell right away if you have 2 and 4 door A pillar drip moldings next to each other. I'm pretty sure the 4 door and Vista Cruiser windshields are the same.

Correct. Wagon and 4dr windshields are the same, as are the front doors.

My windshield has a couple of stone chips and thinking of replacing it too. I went to the Safelite website and put in all the info and it seems they have them, didn't say they don't. The site set up appointments, for tomorrow if I want, to install it at three shops near me or they could come to my house. Do they have those windshields and they are that available? cool if they do but I would call first. The site quotes $224.95 installed for "Front Windshield, Green Tinted Glass with Blue Shadeband at top, Antenna" for a 1971 Vista Cruiser 4 door wagon.

I put a new one in my Vista but the only one my glass company could get had the antena in the windshiled. I didn't need it but I'm not gonna sell my Vista on BJ anywho.

You can get curb service in your garage Jamesbo?, do the waitresses wear roller skates? So they can get that windshield, thanks for the info.
If the antenna in the glass was such a good idea why didn't they keep doing it? I wish I had a cool powerful antenna.
