The difference is in the width at the tips of the bumper due to the different shape of the taillights and the surrounding body structure.

That is not correct. The Vista/Wagon bumper does not have the cut out behind the license plate to put fuel in the tank on Coupe and Sedans. Vista/Wagon have the fuel door on the driver side quarter panel.
