I need the front vista glass for a 72. Has anyone made a replacement out of lexan? Is the glass tempered or laminated?

Also, I am looking for a luggage rack for the same car

 

Where are you located? Are you looking for black glass or mirrored? The glass is laminated not tempered.

 

I am in southern Louisiana. I need the dark glass.

Not as far as I know. I have 2 pieces of black front vista glass in PA but that is pretty far from you.

 

It seems there is a market for a few sets. I would be willing to place an order.

 

There is a thread on here somewhere started by a guy in Canada who was doing a beautiful resto on a vista. I believe he was able to have a company up there make a full set of upper mirrored glass (3 pieces) for him. The price was $3,000.00 the set which is what I paid for my car when I bought it. If you are interested at that price, you may want to do a search for his thread and send him a PM. I have heard some rumors about other companies working on reproduction sets for closer to $1,000.00/ set, but I have no first hand knowledge on those. I sold a set of used mirrored glass a few weeks ago for $500.00. They all had some scratches, but pretty presentable.
