if you dont mind me asking, what was the damage on buying the glass, having it shipped and having it fitted?

what width rubber have you got on those cragars?

 

I think the glass was around 700 by time it was at my door. Obriens then charge 100 or so to install.

Rubber is 205 x 75. Wanted smallest I could get (within reason) being a lowrider guy. $90 each. Picked them up in melbourne while working down there

 

Wouldn't the install be part of the insurance replacement?

 

yep Sure was. I paid nothing. Ive got my last reimbursement cheque coming this week hopefully. For ocean freight.

 

Wagon is running sweet now. Got pretty bad so whole Carb was rebuilt and some new leads added, timimg done etc.
Finally got to put lowering blocks in on the weekend

IDK, maybe it's just me. I liked it better at normal ride height. Looks like it has saggy springs now, or carrying a huge load. How much clearance from the center hub of the wheel on the skirt?

Why didnt you lower the front as well? is it a clearance thing?
Did you backyard engineer the rear blocks or buy them?

no the blocks were aluminium store bought ones to suit early 70s holden. they fit with only a slight drilling out of the bottom holes.

Yea, I like the raised front/lower rear gasser look too, can't make up my mind for my Delta. Must say your wagon is a slick looking machine

I'm guessing lowering the front isn't as easy.

 

I'm thinking about dropping the front as well. Do you still have stock coils or some replacements that fit a Holden as well? Maybe cut the stock half a coil to start, see how it looks?

Full size lover I was thinking of just taking a half turn for sure. Just so it doesn't go too low. Heavy up front. Lol. Driving up on it today though I think it looks cool as is.
