ULTRA RARE 1955 A/C Manifold group 9.263 - GM part # 566720 is now available!
That's it! It's ready and it's now available for purchase!!
After months of research, trying to figure what the part looked like, the dimensions, angles, etc, I'm now re-manufacturing this ultra rare part for 1955 factory air conditioning!
The A/C manifold / diffuser that hides behind the controller, known under group 9.263 - GM part# 566720.
Well with the great help of Jesse, Ron, and also all of you guys, this part is re-born!
The new part is made of BASF, a kind of ABS that can take pretty high temperature that can raise in cars (up tp 400°).
It is 3D printed, has the same dimensions and look as the original, but this one should hold much longer!
The 1956 uses the same controller, but has not the same part # for the manifold.
I don't know if it's the same or not - If someone with a '56 could tell me the difference, I'll appreciate.
Just for my own curiosity, do you know if the fish eye vents are the same size on a 55 as they are on a 56. I was told by a car owner who had smaller fish eye vents in his 55 that it was original stock equipment, could be, so seldom do you see any 55 with stock AC, but I always wondered, it was at a point's show and he seemed nervous when I asked. And thanks for doing all the work putting this all together on the manifold and def user as these are just about unattainable parts..Tedd

Hello Ted, thanks a lot, it was a bit of work, not having the part, even a bad one, made it a bit challenging.
So I do have the '55 vents and they are 2.5".
I have heard the same than you, that the '56 are larger... I may even heard it from you lol
Not sure, I have absolutely no clue on what could be the fifference between a '55 manifold and a '56 manifold.
One thing for sure, they do not have the same part number 566720 for the '55 and 567719 for the '56
What is different? Is the glove box the same size? Is it the larger vent?
They use the same controller also.
If someone could tell me I would greatly appreciate!

FWIW - Yes, I like to provide feedback when warranted. On the product description page of your product. Please note incorrect use of term "bounded". The word should be "bonded".
It is made of two strong BASF engineering grade ABS plastic parts that have been boundedbonded together with epoxy.
Sometimes it's the small things...
