Progress on the project(1948 98)
I’m happy to say that I have rewired the headlights, running lights, horns, coil and generator I am yet to test it but I expect no problems. Look ma no wire nuts now

Nicely done wire nuts under the hood look silly.
i never have good luck w the crimped on ring terminals, half the time I give the wire a tug and out it comes or I can feel it's loose. To get around that I remove the plastic sleeve solder the ring terminal on and use apiece of heat shrink where the plastic sleeve was.

I would have soldered them but I don’t have a way to use my weller at the cars location.
i also used vice grips to squish the butt connectors.
