Those are knockoff 56 Olds Starfire wheelcovers. You can find them sometimes on ebay and I think Fusick makes a repro. Expect to pay close to $100 each for nice ones. I haven't looked at Fusick prices. There was no such thing as a 51 Starfire. The first Starfire was in 54. Another one you might consider is the 53 Fiesta wheelcover which was used in 54 and 55. I have included a picture although it is not a close up. I think Fusick has these too at about the same price.

Those are not gennie 56 spinner caps. The real deal has Oldsworlds instead of those four-point stars. See the RH pic Debbelle posted over on AACA.

Can't say for sure about 1956, but late 60s early 70s Olds, Pontiac Buick Parts Illustration Manual has pictures of all the standard and available wheel covers and optional wheels.

Jen,
The forum link you posted shows two versions, one with 'stars' like you have and one with a planet with rings. Fusick has the version with the planets as a 56 deluxe spinner cover. And they are extremely proud of them. $595 for a set of 4 or $175 each.

Thanks everyone! I am actually searching for these with the stars for a friend that has a 55 Pontiac. My ride has some nice Olds covers, but I would love to have some fiestas...can't afford them right now though.

Ya know... I MAY just have something like this in my stash. The pic just sparked a memory of the "off the wall" box that I have.

The hubcap you have pictured is for a 1962 Olds-dogdish/poverty.
