Electrical Issue Help

Hi all, my Olds has been giving me trouble with the electricals. Lights flicker, sometimes won’t crank even with a new battery, and fuses look fine. I’ve cleaned grounds and terminals but the issue keeps coming back. Could this be alternator, regulator, or a wiring short? Any tips on tracking it down would be appreciated.

Vintage Oldsmobile Electrical Issues

Hi everyone, I’m working on a vintage Oldsmobile and running into some electrical trouble. Lights flicker on and off, starting is hit or miss even with a good battery, and fuses look okay. Grounds and terminals are clean but the problem keeps coming back. Could this be the alternator, regulator, or wiring? Any advice from those familiar with vintage Olds systems would help a lot.

Instead of making us guess (which has a very limited chance of success) - what are the chances you happen to know the year & model of this car?

Merged your 2 threads, yes year and model would help. The mind reading thing isn’t working.
