Trunk Light

I realized that my 57- 98 Starfire is wired for a trunk light with no light in it. Can someone send me a picture of one so I can recognize it? When I search I get different options that come up.,

Thanks
Mark

I could get you one from a 55 but I have no idea if they are the same. Have you tried google image 57 trunk ? quite often there will be a picture of what you are looking for.... Tedd

Mark57, there's one Listed on E-bay that is shown in three different pictures, that looks just like the one that my '55 has. They show the same '55-61.You might broaden your search to include Buick, Pontiac, and possible Cadillac. If I remember correctly, they all were very similar. Look on E-bay for Pontiac trunk light, the 4th picture down looks just like my '55 light and is for sale for $25 + shipping. Larry

Thanks guys, I have searched around quite a bit and find several different options.
Larry, is this the picture of the one you think is the correct type? I wonder if theres a bracket missing to go with it?

Yeah Mark, that's it.It don't require A bracket. The top separates from the base and there's screws through the base to mount. It mounts to one side of the center of the trunk, not directly in the middle. If needed I will try to get a picture,or measure for exact location ,but if your's is pre-wired it should be close to where the wires are located. Thanks Larry, there is a couple of screw holes in the trunk inner frame where it would mount. Thanks for your help.
