swap engine

Good day
I have a 1955 Oldsmobile 88 with hydromatic transmission. My engine needs an overhaul. Now I was offered an engine for a '55 Olds, but it turns out to be for a '64 Olds. According to the seller, this would fit, but I doubt whether the hydramatic will fit on it and whether the engine will fit at all. Is there anyone who has experience with this.

Is the 1964 motor a 394 or a 330?
