No VIN Plate - '51 88

Well the VIN plate is gone on my 1951 88 4 door sedan, any other locations besides the engine block to pull this from? Just starting on a resto...no papers on the vehicle yet, passed on from my deceased Uncle.

Should be a plate where the drivers vent window meets the A pillar, on the pillar.

For a 51 model car in Texas they were titled by the engine number, not the body number. By the way I'm in Austin and have a complete 51 Super 88 parts car.

Cool, I'm just north of you in Jarrell, may have to get together, I'm a total noob to all this...
