New owner of a 58 Super 88

Hi guys. I have a few questions. First what can you tell me about my car from the Vin? 588M33329. Is this the Holiday version?
Second question is about the brake light switch on the dash. Why does it rotate?
Third question is where can I get new good quality door seals?
And last. How many 58’s were made?
Thanks in advance to any and all that answer.

I might be a little help but not much as I don't have much info on 58's. On the numbers supplied 588M33329 the 58 is is the year the 8 is the body style super 88, the M is built in Michigan and the 33329 is the serial number.

More information can be gleaned from the style and body plate located on the cowl near the left hand hood hing. If you do not have a B pillar post you have a Holiday.

I have used Fusick and Steele Rubber for that kind of seals with good results but not cheap, none are.

I can't help on the quantity of 58's made but are you looking for all 58's or just 58 holidays?. Hope this helps a little....Tedd

Thanks Tedd. I have a B pillar so I guess it’s not a Holiday. I was just wondering what the production numbers are for my model.

Check Rockauto for your door seals. I got a kit from them for my 64 Starfire. They came from Metro Molded Products in Minneapolis, MN.
