Gunna have to get some help on this one and other thoughts

My young neighbor keeps asking if he can help wrench on my Land Cruiser or Olds and I think I'm gonna take him up on his offer. I usually do most everything myself, have for years but lately with the increased amount of gravity felt on my buggered up legs and the angle of the dangle of working bent over a rig anymore brings a grimace to my face just thinking about it,

Probably start on the Olds first needs the Treadle -Vac removed and sent off for a rebuild, not a biggie but a lot of under the car work and without a lift it seems like he would come in handy and I'm getting pretty good at pointing at bolts and nuts these days.

The Land Cruiser has been ignored for well over a year probably has a bad ground or the starter is toast. This rig has sat out in all kinds of snow and rain and it will need a thorough diagnostic run through on all the electrics because of moisture issues. This will be a learning experience for him and a real helping hand for me. When finished I may put it up for sale. FJ 40's are quite popular now and this one has been subjected to many good mods . Sure has been a tough off road rig in the past, hate to see it go but I don't use it anymore unless I have over 2 feet of snow besides I'm looking at a BMW z4 roadster and that would get me closer to what I need to get one.

Well those are my random thoughts for the day, now if I can get off my a$$ and just get something started..... Isn't there football on today.... So much for that get started thing..... Tedd

WIN ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ WIN

Be patient, he will make mistakes. He will learn from both your patience and his mistakes. It will also help the future of the auto hobby.

Good luck!!!
