Gear Ratios for 56 Hydramatic?

Anyone out there who can help with the gear ratios on the standard Hydramatic in 56? I am not talking about the Jetaway, just the standard Hydra!
Thanks

Tedd, thanks very much, but I believe that the Hydramatic was a 3 speed transmission. The 4 speed startet with the Jetaway...

I thought I might have the gear ratios for a '56. The many manuals, etc., that I have did not list any gear ratios for the '50 and later Olds, etc..

The early Hydro's as used in the Cad's, Pontiac's, Olds and GMC trucks were all 4 speed transmissions... The Hydro's were infamous for their very brisk/hard shifting.... I thought the Jetaway's were slush boxes..

Nope, they are 4 speed, sometimes the 1st to second is hardly noticeable and people don't feel that shift but they are all 4 speed... Tedd

If it was built by 'Hydro' Bob in Chicago, The 1-2 shift would rattle your teeth!!
Believe he also engineered the "Hydro-clutch", eliminating the torque converter, in the early '50's!
Rode in a few cars so equipted - really unforgetable!
May he rest in peace!

In '54-55 I had a '50 Olds 88, 4spd Hydro, in '55-57 I had a '53 Super 88, 4spd Hydro.. In '58-63 I had a '55 Pontiac V8, with a 4spd Hydro. In 1966 I purchased a Chevy C20 camper special, it had a very lame 2spd Powerglide which I changed to a B&M 4spd Hydro, that they called 'The Traveler'.. The trans case had a tag on the side of it that identified the trans as being a '54 Cad... This was a great trans for hauling a heavy loaded RV with a boat attached.. Without the RV, my friends called the truck the 'Green Machine'...
I had upgraded the engine to a 350 HP 396 in 1970..
No doubt about it, the early GM Hydramatics were 4 spd transmissions, heavy but bullet proof....
