Blue Glass?

My Son has been offered blue-tinted glass from a donor '54 4DR Super 88. This to replace the glass in his current '54. This donor is non-AC. Have others seen this blue-tint glass before?

Yes but in the front windshield only though. I'm not a big fan of the color and I'm not sure that it was a option originally or a after market thing. You can still get replacement windshields in that color today if you should want to....Tedd

I had blue tinted glass on a '54 Plymouth that was a blue painted car. I always assumed blue glass would look wrong on a green car. Likewise, I had a green '54 Ford with green tinted glass. Blue tinted glass would have looked wrong on that car. I always assumed there was 2 tint color shades, at least in the 1950's, depending on car color.

Thanks for the responses. My Son's '54 (see posts from Summer Nights in the large Olds 88 forum) is white over dark blue. The donor car is light blue. I think the glass will look good on my Son's car.
