average cost of average interior

Ramping up the speed on my rebuild. Looking at costs for certain things and I was wondering if anyone would know a ballpark figure when dealing with interiors. I will need basically everything, however I am not looking to go back to factory specs or going wild on the custom side either. Just want a decent interior job so I dont have to worry about my kids being up to date on their tetanus shots whenever they climb in the olds. Looking at seats, carpet, headliner, and door skins for my 56. Anyone have any idea about what I should budget for? I'm in the Dallas area, does anyone have anybody they would recommend?

I know nothing about Dallas area, but in my area I think you could get a starving upholster(we call them undocumented upholsters) to do the headliner, seats, floor, trunk and doors for about $2500- $3000 your area may vary. While you are thinking about the interior don't forget your dash pad if it's padded and not painted, nows the time to do it also.Very labor intensive job but nows the time so it will match the trim. thats about $300 if he hasn't done it before and $500 if he has. Just a thought... Tedd

Call these guys, they did my Olds! They also do all my leather upgrades here at the dealership. Very reasonable and do quality work. They are in the Dallas/ Ft Worth area.

Budget between 2 and 3K if you plan to do a stock, quality job with a shop doing half the work.
Take a look at my interior makeover thread (llink below) and you can get a good idea what you may run into.
I had great success with Yoboy out in the city of Nevada. A one man trim shop with real workmanship.
