Hi doc93
my 55 has a 7 on it , it looked abit rusty so i orded a new one from fusicks that was a 7 , so i would say your one is stuffed if its not holding pressure.
cheers chris.

radiator

Doc 93, Mine is a 7lb also. When I replaced my raditor it had a 14lb cap on it and the shop owner commemented that if I wanted my radiator to live I should replace it with the correct 7lb cap, seems the old system won't take the extra pressure for an extened time.
You might need a recoar or other issues may be the problem, perhaps the T stat is shot....Tedd

I just put a new stat in it a couple of weeks ago ( which there was none )and I will try a new cap and see if that works. I just wanted to make sure that was the right size and that for the info too.

doc.93.... $450... brass core.. Happy to find someone to fit core to OEM tank and supports. I think it ended up a 3 row...... still holds a great deal of water.
