53 4dr 98 Sill Plates

These are now being reproduced, I found a store on Ebay that is selling them, Fusicks only have them for the 55 and up and the 4dr 88....very pricey though.

I didn't know that thin Aluminum had gotten that expensive? Nigel ,you could laminate $10 bills and cover that area for less than that. Keep searching. Larry

Eightbanger, An excellent lead that I pursued and emailed with Ann. She checked for me for door sill plates for my 1947 Series 60 convertible. The person who produces these does have the forms and can make them for those of us who have 41-48 2 dr. Series 60s. I didn't ask about other 41-48s like 70 and 90 series. By the way, she is extremely quick in replying. I love great service!

Yes the price is right up there and you are going to be close to $400 for a pair in the US by the time you buy and pay shipping. Her source is the only maker so its difficult to have any leverage on pricing. Lead time is 2-4 months according to Ann. 50% down required. If you have none and need them....well, its a familiar story to those who fix up old cars.
I'm just grateful as can be to find a source and be able to get them and so will order. Thank you again for the tip.
Jerry
