47 steering wheel on newer GM column?

I am looking for a way to put an older (46-48) steering wheel on a newer (1970s) GM steering column. Seems like an adapter would do it but when searching for an adapter it seems like they are all to attach aftermarket steering wheels to GM columns.

Anybody know a source for adapters for old wheels to newer columns? Anyone ever build their own adapter for that purpose?

The car already has the later model column installed and I like the tilt so would prefer to keep it.

Thanks for any help, direction etc.
