I'm rebuilding a 1957 Oldsmobile 371 engine.
What is the gap between the main bearing and the rod bearing?

 

I don't understand it even after reading the manual.
In particular, the clearance of rod bearings is complicated.

 

I need a little more information, Is this a stock 371 crank rod combo or a punched out 324? Do you have the new parts now? Is there an equivalent to what we have here in the states called Plastic Gauge where you are located ( Plastic tape used to measure bearing clearances)?. In general about 2- 3 thousands for rods but you need to check this with the correct manual, it doesn't sound like you have a compleat detailed manual for internal engine parts for your engine Or something is lost in translation..
