324 / 371 Valve Cover Interchangeability
Can 324 valve covers be used on a '57 371?
I want to disguise the 371 in my '55 as a 324 and would like to run the '55 valve covers - anyone try this?

If it only has two hold down bolts it should work fine.I have seen a 394 with 303 covers on it, they had modified the two hold down bolts by mounting them off the rocker stands using a L shaped bracket and as I remember the old bolt holes for the 394 covers were covered up.Fooled a bunch of people.Had all this in a 26 T......Tedd

That's what I was thinking - just wasn't sure if the vertical clearance was different with the 371 valve train - want to dress my '57 371 in my '55 to look like a 324 so it appears correct - plus I like the green engine way more than the gold -
