1955 Olds valve covers

Does anyone make a stencil for the raised lettering on the stock valve covers?

Yes and they show up on Ebay from time to time but my wife free handed our covers and they came out better than any stencil I have seen, not that hard ether according to her.

One shot lettering enamel#130-l primrose yellow is a dead ringer for the yellow.....Tedd

Thanks Tedd, a steady hand is a wonderful thing but my skill with a lettering brush is something I no longer have.

I have a set that my late friend purchased when we were doing the 54. They came from Bing's Garage in Paris, Idaho. That was several years ago. I tried to find them and the only thing I found was the building for sale. I plan on using them this winter when I detail my engine. You might consider taking your valve covers to a sign painter if you can find one.

It's pretty easy to get laser cut vinyl paint masks. All you need is the size and font. Works great.

I've seen painting masks but could not find one today, as they were originally painted, find someone with a steady hand. Fusick has stickers as shown in my attachment.
