1949 Olds identification???

Howdy folks. I was looking through some old family photos the other day while doing some family tree stuff and found a picture that looked interesting. When I asked my mother about it she told me the picture was of the first car my Grandfather purchased after immigrating to Canada. It was a 1949 Oldsmobile. She couldn't however tell me the specific model. Any ideas???

Looks like a 98 with the rear fender trim. I will have to look at some old pictures to confirm

Ohhh why did I have to find this picture!!! Now it gives me another Olds to look for. That would be cool to get the same type of car.

It does look a lot like the one pictured Olds67. Problem is many of the models from that year looked the same from the side profile.

I'd like to see where you finished your grandfather's Olds, and maybe be able to buy back.
would be wonderful

You don't want to find the same "type" of car, you want to find THAT car! (or at least what happened to it!)

Could she tell you the models of the two ladies?

Who are they?

Thats easy. Thats my grandmother & mother. I highly doubt I would be able to find any information relating to the specific vehicle itself though as AWESOME as that would be.
