1948 Running Temp

Hello,

Took the old car out for a longer than usual drive yesterday in the heat. Ambient was around 85.

Does anyone know what the running temp should be for a 1948?

I was averaging around 175 degrees.

Thanks
Lee

The Oldsmobile Chassis Parts Book shows both 160 & 180 degree F thermostats for either engine.
Your observation of 175F for an ambient 85F seems O.K.
