hey the tranny in my 69 olds toro has been acting up it dosent want to shift out of first i have to ply with the gas a bit then it shifts any ideas its the th425 i belave if not htem the 400. thanks alot.

 

Will it finally shift at about 4000 rpm at wide open throttle? If so, you either have a bad vacuum modulator or the vacuum hose to the modulator is disconnected. Either way, it's an easy fix. The vac modulator is externally accessible and comes off with just one bolt.
