Merry Christmas all, Spent the afternoon pulling the ROTO 5 out of my 62 Cutlass, front seal is leaking and slips in first and reverse. Any common denominator between slipping in first and reverse? The book says the band is on in first and off in reverse. I did check the adjustment and its 100 inch lbs minus 2-1/4 turns. I am thinking accumulator next. Anyone else have this problem? Other than that it runs and shifts pretty good, but I notice it does not stall if the TV rod is too short like it used to.

Well I found the band servo spring retainer is broken. Not sure it is the whole cause of the problem, but I put it in the parts wanted site. Anyone have ROTO 5 parts laying around? Thanks.

 

Found one at Fatsco, I am hoping it solves the first reverse slipping issue.
