65 olds 442 clutch equalizer

Any ideas as to how to locate where to weld the clutch equalizer... 65 was not a bolt on year... Engine and trans are out of the car right now

Anyone got a source for a 65 factory template as to where to locate the clutch equalizer on the frame?

I merged your identical threads. It is neither necessary nor in your best interest to post the same question in multiple threads. You'll get a better answer if you keep all responses in one thread, so incorrect info can be caught and corrected.

The diagram is in the Assembly Manual, in Group 7 - Transmission. There is a Frame Gauge Hole in the straight part of the frame under the firewall. The centerline of the pivot on the tab should be 7.22" up from the center of the gauge hole and 9.28" forward.

Thanks... I'll share your answers with my mechanic.... You don't have any pics of the parts as assembled would you? I see you have a 66... should be the same, No?
