After rebuild

So after a rebuild my car shifts kinda hard from 1st to 2nd. It's not super hard but just a little jerk. Should I be worried? Should I take my car back? And my ujoint is worn. Could that be the problem?

I would take care of the u-joint first, if its the TH-350 probably need to adjust the vacuum modulator. The trans shop can adjust that in minutes.

It's the 200r4 but I will take of the ujoint first.

Hey, idk if you would know but would you know what a good price would be to get a 307 rebuilt? I know, I know. People say getting a 307 rebuilt is a waste.

Up in Canada a 307 rebuild is around $2900.00 not sure about the U.S prices. You can google Crosstown engines in Canada to give you a ruff idea on stock engine builds. I'm pretty sure the U.S prices are a little cheaper.
Hope this helps

Ya its not cheap, but if you have your mind set on the 307 that's one of the largest yet cheapest engine build places here in Toronto Canada.

What's an alternative to getting a rebuild? I can't find a 350 around my area? What about a crate 350? Could I put that in a 85 delta 88 running the stock 200r4?

I'm certainly not the guy to answer anything on engines, especially give advice on how or what to do with one. I'm just a bolt on guy myself, I have enough experience with other things that make me a danger to myself at times haha.
Your best to start a thread outlining what you have and what you could interchange things with for starters.
Then made a decision at that point ya know what I mean.

No problem, others will chime in and give you some options in sure. I do know an 350 olds will bolt in and work well with your 200r4 . That in my opinion would be your best case scenario. Used 350's pop up here often .
Cheers

A TH200-4r with a somewhat firm shift is usually a good thing. I like to use the older, one piece TH200 servo's to improve the 1-2 and 2-3 shift in the 4r.
