I've just acquired a 1982 Cutlass, Calais I believe. Its a 3.8 and a three speed as far as I know. The previous owner claimed it "doesn't have any power in drive" and that you have to manually shift. It could probably use a flush and fluid replacement as it's been sitting for two years not running. If you could tell me what transmission I have that would be great, as well as any common problem I should be warned of.
On a side note, does a Dual Gate exist for it?

Should be if oe a th 350 with lock up convertor.

 

That almost made me throw up on myself!! Someday people will refer to that thing as a TRANSMISSION
