Trans identification

Hey yall, this may be a dumb question but here it goes. I just recently bought a trans for my 69 cutlass project, I thought I was getting a th350 but this doesn't look like the th350's I have here. Hoping one of you experts can tell me what I got. There is no kickdown cable but it does have the vac. Modulator on the rear of trans. Also it has what looks like the electronic kick down like my th375 and my th400 have. The pan is different than my th350,th375 and th400. Also the original tag has been removed and replaced by a Wolfe transmission Inc. Tag. Any help is very much appreciated, thanks.

That looks like an ST300 (Jetaway) pan, which is a 2 speed transmission.

thank you very much for your comment, that would explain why I can only find p-r-n-2-1 when turning the shift lever by hand I assume. Were those a good transmission? Similar to a powerglide I assume?

For a grocery getter they were good transmissions, for performance not so much. They have a very tall first gear, a T350 is a better choice. The only thing an ST300 has in common to a Powerglide is it's a 2sp, nothing interchanges.

So I have to ask. How in the world did you get sold a two speed transmission for your car? Did someone tell you it was a turbo 350? Just curious.

Other than having two speeds, it has nothing in common with a Powerglide.

You should see if you can get your money back. I can't think of any circumstance in which a Jetaway would be a better choice than a TH350.

What part of the country/world are you in? I've got some extra transmissions including TH350's but I'm in the Pacific Northwest, Oregon. I would suspect others here do as well if you want to create a parts wanted thread. But please share your general location in case someone nearby has one they can reach out to you.
