th350 trans, replace the jetaway.

I have a 1966 olds js88, original 330 and trans are gone. So going to put 403 and th350 in it's place.. will 350 fit, or is there modifications need to been done? Like to trans cross member? Does speedo need to be calibrated? Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The T350 should fit as almost a direct bolt in. The only thing is you'll need to rig a kickdown cable to the carb linkage similar to a Chevy. The speedo may need to be calibrated depending on the difference between the rear gear ratio of the car the trans is going into vs what it was on the car it came out of.

Did 66 J88 drive the speedometer off left front wheel like other 66 fullsize?
