While installing the trans back in my 69 442, I reattached the brackets and cable, but the linkage seems to bind and not want to go into park. This is a factory floor shift TH 400. I couldn't understand the factory shop manual on linkage adjustment, how do you guys adjust yours, also what is the purpose of the linkage rod from the steering column to the trans shifter? Thx
