Jetaway trans cooler hoses

Any help here would be great. My 59 98 jetaway blew the flexible hose from the trans to the 3/8 steel tube that goes to the radiator.
After 2 days I have not been able to locate any fittings to make a new one, Anyone got any leads?

Cheers
Scott

Hi Lazy,

In my parts cattledog: (Master parts list)

'1956 thru 1959 Model "O" H.T......HOSE, cooler pipe to adaptor..2 574300.......'

(2 being 2 x off and 574300 being part number).

I'm sure if you go to your local Supercrap Auto, the work experience chick will drag one or two off the shelf for you.

But say on the off chance they are out of stock, take a sample to a brake and clutch place. They have all sorts of weird connections and can put the connectors on the hose using that special crimping thing they do for pressure hose connections.

I've done this for my truck.

You might also consider a hydraulic shop. Bring your hose with fittings and they can almost build a hose for anything.

Just out of curiosity, did Fusick use the original part number at all?

When I get my recoed engine shipped in, and while I am changing over engines, I will give the gearbox a freshen up with new gaskets, seals, etc.
You have just given me an idea for something else to change out while the gearbox is out.

It is a mongrel to get at in the car, so do it while they are out. Fusick Part number 4300, $16.50 each.
