Jetaway hijacked
This is a long story but wont bother you all with it. Basically I need a 65 Jetaway transmission. Mine was stolen. I want to keep my 442 original and this is what I have to do.
If you have one or have knowledge of one in the trash please let me know. I know I will have a tough time rebuilding it but I dont have a choice --..
Thanks .
Paul

Paul, I have a very original 2 speed
still in the 67 supreme body.
Still bolted up and attached to
the 330 block. This car was parked
and used for a 442 restoration 20 yrs
ago or so.. Over time the heads and intake
were lifted, and the engine is rusted down,
but the fluid in the trans is still very red and
overfull as it should be. I know it isn't a 442 tranny, buy they
may not have been any difference internally. Who knows, Joe P?
I wouldn't be scared to try it with a new filter and seals.
I also have a new modulator from the switch pitch that
was in my 66 442 trans that i will throw in for you.
I would have to hire one of the boys to pull it, but I could strap
it to a pallet and see what fastenal has to say about it going
out to Calif. $200 plus costs sound fair?

I just pulled my st300 from a 66 cutlass supreme(not 442). If you need anything out of it, just let me know. you can have for free. It's blown but I have everything like converter, switch pitch/kickdown switch etc...
Things like this are why the Commonwealth of Virginia now requires a permit, issued by your local sheriff's department, to haul off scrap metal. Basically the permit says if you're hauling it to the scrapper, you certify the stuff is YOURS, and the scrapper is required to note the permit # on the receipt along with description of the stuff.
Yeah, scrap metal is a booming industry here among crackheads.

Tri-Shield Performance will buy it from you and pay for the shipping
