would this match up with my 455

Computer controlled 700R4. BOP pattern is shown below.



You would need an adapter, to bolt in on, and a computer to make it work.

ok! But were all 455 backed with a turbo 400. Miine particularly is a from 1976 olds 98! and i still have the opportunity to get the trans that was originally with the engine.

Either Joe or 88 could tell you for sure but if I remember correctly the th400 was the common trans used on the 455. I know that the 350 came with a th400 on factory tow package cars sold in 76 as I have one from the factory.

Yes. The TH400 in a 98 will be a long tail trans.
