Hi, me again, working out the bugs on my 67 Cutlass. 330 HC converted to a Turbo 350 trans. All works good except it shifts hard when you get on it. Does have a B&M shift kit in it. I know there is a modulator adjustment I can do, just don't know enough about it, which way to turn it. Also, my kickdown cable which took some invention to install on a car that never had one, is very stiff and does not move freely. I know that's tough to diagnose with out seeing it. It is free at the carb, and seems free at the trans and is not kinked along the way. It's a new cable from Jegs or Summit I forget which. Thanks again.

 

The valve body reprogramming is likely why it shifts hard under acceleration and no amount of vacuum modulator adjustments will change that. The modulator adjustments change the part throttle shift points; when you are at WOT there is no vacuum signal.
