Not easy to find the correct fluids around here.
Wonder if this will work on a 1968 TH 400.It's a semi syntetic.

While I can't read the text, I do see "Dexron III." I assume that means it's equivalent to that. It should work.

Finding the stuff in the U.S. is one thing. Getting it shipped to Norway is something else altogether, especially shipping liquid chemicals. I'm guessing the issues involved for a private shipper could be significant and expensive.

Norway is a modern country with modern cars, and automatic transmissions are automatic transmissions no matter who builds them. I can't believe there isn't something he could get locally that would work.

Says it is an semisyntetic oil for AT's which require Dexron3,2D and 3E.
Can also be used in some hydraulic gearboxes and PS.
It's approx. 8$ pr. Quart

I wouldn't be too concerned about whether it's synthetic, semi-synthetic, or not synthetic at all. A chemical is a chemical whether it's made from refined crude oil or from chemicals mixed together in the lab. If it meets the specification, it meets the specification.

$8 per quart sounds high, but I have no idea what things like this generally sell for in Norway. I understand that gasoline over there is around $10 or $11 (US dollars) per gallon. That's versus $3.50 to $4.00 over here, depending on location. On this basis, $8.00 for a quart of transmission fluid isn't too bad at all. It's about $5.00 a quart here for the basic stuff.

Also, it's not like you put transmission fluid in your car every week like you do gasoline. I'd just go out, buy enough of this stuff to fill the transmission, pour it in, drive the car, and not give it another thought.

Sorry, I hate taking time to mark my punctuation. My keypad takes 10 functions just to make a period. haha I'll try to be more precise no guarantees though.
