transmission shifts at high rpms

hi - my 85 cutlass shifts at 10mph higher than regular - thoughts?

Could be the modulator if the car has one. It is located on the pass side of the trans and costs like 20 bucks to replace yourself. Some are adjustable with an allen wrench in the tube the vaccuum line goes onto. Good luck. Jim

What year/model car? Engine/transmission (if known)? Regular accelleration or wide-open throttle?
