Hey all I saw a post about the transmission serial number being vital to numbers matching verification. I have a U code 72 Cutlass Supreme and have already verified the engine is numbers matching and I have the "72 OD" code on the transmission. Is this enough or is there a serial number I need to verify?

The VIN derivative should also be stamped into the transmission casing, driver side, on a narrow vertical surface between the two support ribs cast into the casing.

I was able to find the transmission serial number, and it's pictured below. My VIN is 3J57U2Z140877.
It looks like it's a match...
