Torque converter lockup question

Torque converter lockup question
I've put a 700r4 in my 67 CS. I've put around 300 miles on it and am pleased with the performance of the transmission (It sat patiently for 20 years waiting on me to use it). At first I didn't have the TC lockup wired up, I've since wired it up but it doesn't work, so I bought a 4th gear kit with solenoid (I've not yet installed it) and it has a single spade connector to replace the 4 wire connector currently in the transmission.
My question is: Is there a scenario where I would want the TC to lockup in 2,3,&4? I could leave the stock connector, tap into the ground wire from the solenoid that goes to the 4th gear switch, connect the ground to the D connection in the stock plug and on to a switch that would allow me to turn the switch off and have lockup only in 4th or turn the switch on and have the TC lockup in 2,3&4.

The TH-200 4R's installed by Olds allowed TC lock-up in third gear. I don't like it. It behaved OK on the '85 442 I had, but on the '87 I now drive, for normal, moderate throttle application, it'll lock up either just before the shift to 4th or simultaneous with the shift to 4th. The result is a very hard shift when none is warranted. Rather annoying.
More to the point, I see no need for TC lock-up in 3rd gear. And especially not in 1st or 2nd.
