TH400 in '87 Cutlass with 455
So I originally thought my car had a TH200-4R but it turns out it has the metric TH200C 3 speed with lockup... I'm in the process of putting a 455 Olds in the car. So I decided I'll be running a BOP TH400 (got it with the engine) and I ordered the shift kit, 2500 stall, different crossmember and mount... Just curious if anyone has done this and had any insight as to what I need to look out for. Looks like I'll have to change the driveshaft length and I'll be going away from the TV cable setup. What's the best way of controlling the kickdown? And will the shift linkage work or does that require any modification? Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance

The linkage MIGHT require some modification, but it should be close right from the start. The kickdown only requires a electric connection so you can use the same type of micro switch used for nitrous systems and set it up for wide open throttle connectivity.

Also you will need to do something about the parking brake cables due to the relocation of the transmission crossmember.
