TH 350 questions
TH 350 questions
Hi,
I have a '68 Cutlass with the Jetaway. I am going to replace it with a TH350. I found what appears to be a decent TH 350 out of a '84 Buick Regal. My questions-BOP is BOP no matter what year, correct? are there any glaring differences between the years of a TH350? Some years more heavy duty or made with better pieces? Any linkage concerns? I am going to have it rebuilt with a shift kit if I decide to buy it. I am aware of the different tail shafts etc. Before buying it are there somethings I should look for? It is out of the car and sitting in a garage. I am engine and suspension savvy but not so much with the transmissions. Is my Jetaway worth much to anyone?
Thanks for the thoughts!

That will be a TH 350C, if original. Also check for the band adjustment on the passenger side, makes it a TH 250C. I am rebuilding my TH 250C, it lasted 400,000 plus km. Extreme abuse took out first gear. We will see how it lasts racing with a good rebuild.
Found this ad....can someone elaborate on the electronic part as well as the "corp housing"....here's the ad
I have a turbo 350 transmission with electronic lock up torque converter that will fit gm engines Chevy, Pontiac, Oldsmobile Olds, Buick. Has the multi pattern bellhousing.
I have never run this tranny so I can't guarantee anything but supposedly it worked fine when pulled. I went with an overdrive tranny instead.
These are hard to find! Cash and carry
