Stripped Bolt on Torque Converter

I am installing a 2004r in my 65. I put the tc on and trannie, dropped it in the car and went to tighen the tc bolts (only snugged them before) 1 stripped. Has this happened to anyone and if so what are my options? Is there a self tapping bolt like they have for an oil pan or will I need to drill it and re tap, any ideas?

A bigger bolt will put it out of balance a little. It would be better to heli-coil the hole.

Or, use longer hardened bolts and use nuts and lockwashers on all 3!

Heli coil the hole and be sure about it.
