Hi. Need some help on a shifting problem. I,m looking a 1984 Delta 88 with 69000 miles on it. The trans will only work/shift if you do it manually. Any thoughts as to a problem and fix? I can get the car for 1200.00. It is in very nice condition. Super clean in and out. Worth it?

That sounds like a modulator, our 81 Delta 88 did the same thing. Problem is the trans should a 2004r trans with no modulator. I would check the trans fluid and TV cable and take it for a good test drive.
