resistance of solenoids

Has anyone measured the ohms of the kickdown and /or vane solenoids in a jetaway? My kickdown is white (#2) and 19.5 ohms.... but the vane (black #1) is 6.4, but goes to short when I start the car!!
Thanks
Dennis

How exactly are you testing resistance? Power is applied to the switch pitch solenoid with the carb at idle as well as at W.O.T.

You can't measure resistance with power on the circuit.

Just a static ohms test with VOM. no power involved. unplugged connector on sensor going to transmission.
bit weird!
