Overfilled Tranny

OK guys so I did a big bone headed thing....I over filled the tranny on the 442 by about 2 quarts. I was adding out of a gallon jug and knew I only needed to add about 2 quarts but when the 2 quart mark came up i wasn't thinking and just kept adding. My question is without dropping the drainless pan how can I pull those 2 quarts out. My first idea was to go get some clertubing from the hardware store alone with a siphon pump and try and pump out the 2 quarts. What are your thoughts. Thanks guys.

Clear tubing is the way to go down the fill tube and siphon it. Don't start the car until you get it out.

That's a good idea because i have been in need to a fluid transfer tool. Pouring used motor oil sometimes gets messy if you don't hit the hole haha

I've cheated on this before myself. Cracked the bottom line on the radiator, fire it up,
and let it out. Get's somewhat messy, but works.

That would be ok if it wasn't a nut and bolt resto. But with a fully powder coated frame and brand new parts haha

What Eric said. A suction gun is a staple tool. Just purchase some hose and suck away. Next time you have the pan down(as trans fluid should be changed at regular intervals) why not install a drain plug kit or purchase a pan with the drain in it. Makes trans servicing a snap. Not to mention much neater.

Yeah our plan is to purchase a larger finned aluminum pan with drain plug at around 500 miles cauee our tranny builder suggested we should change it then. It gets pretty hot here in the summers (100°-110°) so the bigger pan with calling fins should help keep it cooler.
