"Now that we have discussed the technical aspects, I know the next question you want answered is, how does it fit? We asked Kidd that same question, “We actually installed the TKX in several cars,” confirms Kidd. “It was bolted into a ‘70 Chevelle, third-gen Camaro, a Fox-body Mustang, ‘69 Olds 442, and a Firebird Sprint owned by Jay Leno.” Each time, once the transmission was in place, The folks at TREMEC were more than happy with the clearance available between the transmission and the transmission tunnel area."
Looks to be real promising. I was waiting for the longest time for something like this to pop up, but gave up and ordered an Autogear m23 two months ago from a local builder. It's a weekend car and doesn't need overdrive, so I'm not that bummed out. Can't wait to hear more first hand experiences with the TKX!
Looks like a game changer. No tunnel mods and 600 ft lb torque. Offered in close and wide ratio. Like woodie582 said, the wide ratio option seems like a pretty steep 1st gear and drop to second. Any thoughts out there for the best choice 70 cutlass, street stout 455 with 3:42 rear end? Thx!
They are talking about this trans on a Chrysler A Body forum I look at. It doesn't fit into an A Body with no mods, there is still quite a bit of work that has to go into the trans tunnel.

...who said anything about a Chrysler A-Body? Or are they talking about the multiple supposed GM A-body installations on the Chrysler A-body forum?
I have a TKO-600 with carbon fiber synchros in my 650 HP Chevelle and love it. I'm tracking this new TKX with the hopes of installing it in my 1971 Olds 442 W-30 clone restoration in the next 3 months. I'm excited about the prospect of not having to cut and fab the tunnel as I had to do for the Chevelle. I like the gear ratios as well. They are very similiar if not the same as my current Tremec. Should be interesting to see how this model performs. It looks allot more like a Muncie from the online pics.
