Muncie conversion 1967 cutlass

I am in the process of converting my 1967 cutlass to a Muncie m22 and my question is what is the hole in the firewall suppose to be for the rubber clutch rod boot suppose to be? round or square? if anybody has a picture from the firewall side of the car with a 67 4 speed that would be a great help. just want to do this right. I don't need ant comments on my forum name that comes from my 67 mustang and that's different than this.

There is a rubber boot that the clutch rod goes thru and a plate that holds the seal/boot. I think they reproduce the plate and boot. With this the hole in the firewall is not so critical as it gets covered. Dont have a picture but the hole could be round...

I have the plate and the boot- it appears that the boot goes thru the firewall first and then the plate second using the screws already in the firewall installed from interior side. I'm not sure how its covered from the engine firewall side and that's why I'm looking for a what does then hole look like square or round? Since I want the car to appear factory 4 speed that's why I'm looking for a picture or a for sure what the hole is. thanks for the help
