Kugel Components Shifter Kit

I just recently installed a 2004r trans and currently waiting for the kugel component kit to come in the mail. Has anyone had any experience installing this kit?

I still have to original shifter linkage connected and I believe it's still connected with the original cotter pin.

Any pics of your setup or help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

What car? Column or console shifter? I just hooked up my 2004R to my column shifter with all the factory TH350 pieces on my 70S.

68 with a column shift. I got the trans from bowtie overdrives and they are shipping me the kugel shifter kit.

Below is what is currently connected to the shift lever:

I don't know anything about the Kugel kit, but why do you need it?

Exactly. The TH350 linkage piece fits right on the 2004R. Unless it shows OD on the indicator and allows low gear.

I have most of the setup intact, but I have had a hard time finding the rest. I need the pieces that actually go to the trans. Also, I can't seem to find the diagram for connecting the factory linkage to the trans. I have all the documentation from wild about cars, but I can't seem to find it.

Page 7-25 of your 1968 Chassis Service Manual. Spend the $15 and buy a real one. That's probably a lot less than the cost of the aftermarket linkage.

Extremely easy. I will take a pic later, the rod just slides into the linkage and a cotter key holds it in place. There is really only one way it can go in.

I actually managed to find the other pieces for the linkage and just waiting for the spring and bushing set.

What I am looking for is the transmission lever. I couldn't find it in my bin of parts and if anyone has a spare I can buy off of them or if know of any retailers that might sell a repop please feel free to share and I would greatly appreciate it.
