Kick down problem...

My 66 with the 330/jetaway does not kickdown. I suspect that what I have seen elsewhere on this site referred to as the "kickdown switch" is faulty, but I am unsure as to how I can correctly diagnose this as the problem, and not something else.

I would just buy a new switch and swap it out to see, but it appears that these switches are not reproduced and can be somewhat expensive to get a working used/NOS one.

Could somebody give me some guidance as to how I can determine if it is the switch or something else that needs adjustment?

Thanks!!!

These two threads should help explain the switchpitch setup.

If you find that you need a switch I have one that works as new from my 65 I don't need anymore.

Great, thanks for the help. I have not had a chance to go investigate yet, but will soon hopefully. Jag, I will also send you a PM if I determine that I need that switch.
